SMACK IN THE MIDDLE: How to have fun at the void deck with railings

THREE railings have been put up in the void deck at Block 143 Mei Ling Street, each measuring 3.5m long. Apparently, they were put up because residents had complained about soccer games being played there – which were not only noisy, but led to “dirty walls and damaged light fittings”. Similar barricades can also be found at a handful of other void decks in Singapore, but it made us wonder: Sure, it might stop people from playing football – but what about other sports?
